Mélange explosif d’énergie garage, riffs acérés aux allures stoner et mélodies infectieuses, Empty Head émerge de la scène underground de Liège, Belgique, animé d'une tension électrique et apparemment prêt à en découdre. Brut, mais subtil, viscéral et imprévisible, le rock ardent que livre Empty Head est un véritable appel au lâcher prise.Empty Head est formé en 2020 par cinq amis d'enfance passionnés de punk rock et de DIY. Répétant tous les soirs dans un petit local en centre-ville, ils mettent toute leur âme et énergie dans de longues jam sessions et composent un premier EP qu’ils enregistrent dans la foulée. Dès la sortie de son premier EP éponyme en 2021, le jeune quintet éveille l’intérêt des médias belges, français et hollandais et profite de la fin de la pandémie pour se lancer dans une première série de concerts et se fait rapidement une place sur la scène locale.Empty Head est de retour en 2023 avec un nouvel EP, ‘Tales of a Modern Man’. « L’Homme moderne avec un grand ‘H’ est un être supérieur, à la pointe de la technologie et au sommet de la chaîne alimentaire. Nous avons voulu tourner cette image en dérision, la démanteler. » explique Simon Galloy, chanteur du groupe. Avec ce deuxième EP, Empty Head capture pleinement l’intensité de ses performances live tout en développant ses textes critiques et ironiques et livre un jugement saturé sur le monde contemporain et son mode de pensée.Empty Head est Simon Galloy (chant lead), les frères Thomas (guitare) et François Michels (guitare), Benoit Thomé (basse / chant) et Thibault Schouters (batterie).

An explosive mix of garage energy, raging guitar riffs and infectious melodies, Belgium’s Empty Head emerged from Liège’s underground scene seemingly fully formed and bristling with a wiry tension. Raw yet subtle. Visceral and unpredictable. Empty Head’s brand of alternative rock is a true call to let go.Formed in 2020, the band grew out of the endeavors of five childhood punk-rock loving friends. Working out of a small rehearsal room in the city center of their hometown, they put all their soul into massive all-night jam sessions and composed their first batch of songs, which they self-recorded in the process following an entirely DIY approach. Upon the release of their self-titled debut EP in 2021, the young quintet aroused the interest of the Belgian, French and Dutch media, and took advantage of the end of the pandemic to launch their first series of live shows and quickly established themselves on the local scene.Empty Head are back in 2023 with a new EP ‘Tales of a Modern Man’. Singer Simon Galloy says, “The modern man is a superior being, at the forefront of technology and at the top of the food chain. We wanted to parody this image and dismantle it”. With this second EP, Empty Head fully capture the combustible energy and intensity of their live set while expanding on their songwriting and deliver a distorted judgment on the contemporary world.Empty Head are Simon Galloy (lead vocals), brothers Thomas (guitar) and François Michels (guitar), Benoit Thomé (bass / vocals) and Thibault Schouters (drums).
